The SNUHSC operates an effective university communicable diseases control system for an early detection of outbreaks of infectious diseases in the university and for taking appropriate countermeasures to protect the university members.

  • Target disease : Tuberculosis, influenza, varicella, measles, rubella, mumps, meningitis, epidemic conjunctivitis, typhoid fever, hepatitis A, other epidemic infections

    • The designation of communicable disease manager for each college/institution under the supervision of the director of each college/institution

      • Contents of a report: patient’s information, diagnostic process, hospital in care, cohabitants, and close contact
    • Response System
      • The SNUHSC provides a corresponding guideline for each case to the Student Affairs and each college/institution
      • A college/institution manager must manage the patients according to the guidelines, and reports occasionally the situation to the SNUHSC staff.
      • Until the situation is over, the SNUHSC monitors the overall situation and operates the corresponding system in the university.
