Meningococal Meningitis

Overview	Acute meningitis and sepsis through the meningococcus
Infection Route	Propagation through the secrets or secretions of patients or healthy carriers
Symptoms	Headache, chills, high fever (over 38 degrees)
Progress	Early antibiotic therapy is important. Death within 24 hours is possible due to progression of sepsis.
